About the Program

The Rroaming Paws Foundation (RPF) Feeding Spot Program helps communities establish official, designated feeding points for community animals — in compliance with the Supreme Court of India, Animal Welfare Board of India (AWBI), and ABC Rules 2023.

Each approved spot promotes compassion, civic order, and safety — ensuring community animals are fed humanely without causing inconvenience or conflict.

Legal Basis

Feeding of community animals is a legally protected right under the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act, 1960 and the directives of the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India (W.P. No. 691/2009). Municipal bodies are mandated to designate and safeguard such feeding areas. Harassment or obstruction of feeders constitutes a punishable offence.
